Transparency at Palazzo di Città, Aldo D’Andrea against the champions of transformism

Transparency at Palazzo di Città, Aldo D’Andrea against the champions of transformism
Descriptive text here

Dear director Staglianò,

I carefully read the article written by him entitled “A pact among all for Avellino. It would be beautiful“I understand the meaning and I agree that the commitments requested are dutiful, the lowest common denominator from which an Administration that wants to claim to be transparent towards the citizens it administers must start from.

I am sure that the mayoral candidate Aldo D’Andrea of the list we support, “Popular Unit for Avellino” will have no problem signing the document he proposes.

I am also convinced that the other candidates, whose names we do not yet fully know, both from the centre-right and from the so-called “wide field” and even the possible candidate from the Festa civic grouping, would be willing to do so without hesitation or shame.

But in this case it would be waste paper, for a very simple reason: that, regardless of the respectability and integrity of the candidates, the practices of private management of public affairs, of toxic proximity between public power and private interests and the practices of shameless clientelism, are emerged forcefully in recent months, but they are the poisoned fruit of the politics that has governed this city and this province in recent decades.

We cannot forget that the Festa administration was born in the belly of the city’s PD, that some champions of our local transformism moved from the PD to Forza Italia, to the League or even to Fratelli d’Italia without any shame.

Finally, we cannot forget that the management of provincial public companies, starting from the Moloch Alto Calore, has seen alternating managements of one color or another alongside investigations and scandals.

We too hope for the restoration of a healthy and civil democratic dialectic, but the road is long, we will have to get rid of the waste of the past, with the help of the citizens of Avellino, starting with a vote that breaks the mould, which brings out clean and which, in a word, “breaks” everything.

Costantino D’Argenio,

Popular Unit for Avellino
