Villa Pianta di Alfonsine (Ravenna), 28 April 2024 – It was transported by helicopter to the ‘Trauma Center’ of the hospital ‘Bufalini’ of Cesena the motorcyclist 50 years old of Cesenatico who in the late afternoon of today, along the stretch of state road 16 ‘Adriatica’ (via Reale) between Villa Pianta di Alfonsine and the Bastia Bridge, came collision with a car led by a girl.
The accident occurred shortly after 6.30pm, the time in which the woman, who was at the wheel of a Nissan ‘Micra’, was traveling along the state road in the Ravenna-Ferrara direction. Just before kilometer 122, while carrying out a turn left to merge onto a dirt road which from Via Reale leads to Via Canale Buonlavoro, due to reasons being examined by the Accident unit of the Local Police of Bassa Romagna, is collided with a BMW motorcycle ‘R1200 GS’ driven by the 50-year-old, who was proceeding in the opposite direction, i.e. from Ferrara towards Ravenna.
Following the violent impact the centaur was thrown from the saddle and falling to the groundwhile the car ended up off the road, stopping near the shoulder of a bridge.
They intervened on site two ambulances, the helicopter of ‘Ravenna Soccorso’ (landed on the state road) and the staff of Local Police of Lower Romagnato. After receiving initial treatment in the ambulance, the motorcyclist, who remained conscious, was loaded with a maximum severity code onto the aircraft, which then took off for the Cesena hospital.
The driver, however, was unharmed. In a few tens of minutes, particularly in a northerly direction, one was formed very long column of vehicles. The one in the late afternoon was the third accident (the first two without serious consequences for the people involved) occurred today along the stretch of state road 16 between Villa Pianta and the Bastia Bridge.
