There will be four Apulian candidates of the PD, coming from four different provinces, to the European elections. They are Antonio Decaro, twice mayor of Bari and national president of Anci, born in 1970; of the deputy mayor of Aradeo since 2017 Georgia Tramacere, cultural operator, born in 1987; by Shady Alizadeh, lawyer expert in corporate gender welfare born in Barletta in 1989; and Giammario Spada, administrative employee from Taranto born in 1996 and provincial secretary of the GD (Young Democrats).

“These are candidatures in the name of renewal – states the regional secretary of the dem Domenico De Santis – which brings together experience and freshness. With these candidates we are certain that we represent the different peculiarities that distinguish our Puglia. If on the one hand we have Antonio Decaro, who has already widely demonstrated to be one of the best Mayors in Italy, on the other hand we have nominated young people who represent strong and rooted experiences in welfare, cultural planning, in the fight for human and gender rights. Good luck to our candidates, we are already working to represent Puglia and the South in Europe with the values ​​of peace, equity, social inclusion – concludes De Santis – and economic growth that is sustainable and respectful of the environment”.
