La Farcia in Pavia, good sandwiches at reasonable prices for a quick snack

The meeting with The Stuffing it was random for us because one Sunday, around lunchtime, we found ourselves at home and we needed to eat something quick and fast without going to the restaurant.

Thus we are reminded of going to the Farcia that we have always seen in passing in Corso Carlo Alberto, next to the headquarters of theUniversity of Pavia.

During the week the restaurant is the right place for lunch for many students, on Sundays it is the perfect place when you don’t feel like cooking. The sign indicates gourmet sandwiches, from the French “foodie”I would therefore say that it is time to try.

We discover that La Farcia is a small reality already present in some cities in the Piedmont, such as Alessandria, Turin or Biella. Regional origin that we also find in the names and fillings of some sandwiches such as the Alba, Sesia or Ellero sandwich filled with fassona or veal with tuna sauce.

The idea is very original, a cross between a bar (breakfast, lunch and dinner), a sandwich shop (sandwiches are the main dish) and a grocery store (you can also buy the products).

We try it sandwich. The choice is difficult, you can customize the type of breadL’main ingredient or the seasoning.

For the undecided like us, there are sandwiches already set up and clearly visible thanks to a large one bright wall on the room wall. Our choice falls on two soft focaccias called Italy And Mondolè tasty and filled with quality ingredients.

The average price of a sandwich is 7 euros and with a few euros more you can add a glass of wine, a cake and coffee to the menu.

Seeing is believing, even the prices have remained “those of the past”.
