The 2024 edition of the Artichoke Festival ongoing since yesterday, Saturday 27 April, and throughout today, Sunday 28 April (2nd Artichoke Festival at Matticella (click here for the complete program)organized by Pro Loco Velitrae and Artistamente APSin collaboration with Vignaroli Velletraniin partnership with lVelletri agriculture department and theDepartment of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty of the Lazio Region.
Large participation for the two days of Artichokes at Matticella dedicated to the promotion and tasting of local products, promoted by the Municipality of Velletri which involved numerous local entities: from the association Fantajungla for the entertainment of children, commercial realities, at the food and wine stands of local products such as “Città del Vino” and “Città dell’Olio” with all the wines and oils of Velletri.
Even on this sunny Sunday, with truly pleasant temperatures, in addition to the succulent Matticella artichokes best prepared by the Velletrani Vignaroli, according to the traditional recipe, musical entertainment will await you at lunch by Lavinia Fiorani and at dinner with Icaro (tribute to Renato Zero ) and a play area completely dedicated to the little ones.
The Festival area will also be reachable thanks to a free shuttle bus set up at the ex Amore car park on Via dei Volsci, where you can park your car and easily reach the area of the Rioli fruit and vegetable plant, home to the Farmer’s Market.
