“Who is there‘Did he say dreams don’t come true?”. Tuesday 30 April and Wednesday 1 May returns to Rimini on Marecchia Dream Festthe event that will bring music and entertainment to the for two days Park XXV April, a stone’s throw from the Tiberius Bridge. And as happened last year, also in this edition in Piazza sull’Acqua the traditional concert of Labor Day is combined with RiminiONLIFEthe meeting place of the world of citizen volunteering.
Music will be the absolute protagonist of two days dedicated to fun, sociality and spring, while at the same time valorising those who, with their daily commitment, try to improve the society in which we live. It is the so-called “third sector”, which with VolontaRomagna, together with the Municipality of Rimini, partner and sponsor of the event, will bring the Rimini associations to get to know each other, discuss, present themselves to the city, for a true celebration of the ‘extended community’.

“Appointments like this represent a‘important opportunity to learn about volunteering and what it does in our area – he says Giorgia Brugnettini, president of VolontaRomagna – For the second consecutive year the third sector opens at the Marecchia Dream Fest in the name of the dream, the one that is the basis of volunteering and common projects for our future. The possibility of talking to each other, networking, working and dreaming of a shared tomorrow combines the daily action of volunteering with what this festival wants to represent for Rimini and the people of Rimini. Thanks to the associations who will populate the two days of celebration with enthusiasm and commitment in this edition too.”
The Dreamers’ Village will also be an opportunity to promote some of the two social projects recently launched by Municipality of Rimini. The first is Many families, one city, the project of solidarity between families of the community and volunteer citizens. The objective is to provide support in situations of temporary fragility to those who need it: there are two families, one supporting and one supported, and there are infinite gestures, relationships, actions of care and sharing to overcome the problems that sometimes we are faced with. May will be the Month of Families, and May 1st will be the opportunity to learn about and take part in the events that will take place in the following days.
The second is the participatory path for the definition of General plan for social inclusion and combating crime‘isolation of the Municipality of Rimini: working towards an inclusive city is not just a question of services and support for vulnerable people in the community is also achieved through relationships, proximity and social networks.

The program of the event and the big concert on May 1st
There will be two days of celebration dedicated to being together. We leave on April 30thwhen the “Village of Dreamers” opens its doors from 5.00 pm to 10.00 pm, with stands, food trucks for all tastes, inflatables and games for children, entertainment for all ages that will accompany visitors throughout the entire duration of the event. The group will open the dance on the stage of the Marecchia Dream Fest The Employees and then it will be the turn of the The Caribbean Delights, all star band from the east coast of Romagna, who will play with sound specialties based on early reggae and rocksteady with hints of ska, soul, funk and calypso. Grand finale with The Bluebeatersthe historic band of ska and rocksteady masters who brought success to songs such as The city is all minewhich celebrates its 30 years of activity on the Rimini stage with a stop on the “I don’t feel anymore” tour.
From 10.00pm to 12.00am you dance with SATELLITE IN THE PARK Dj-Setthe historic Rimini party that brings its DJs Accio and Capoz on stage to close the first day of the festival dedicated to music and fun.
The May 1st it will be the highlight of the event, that of the traditional Labor Day concert. The free music marathon will open its doors from 11.00 am to 9.00 pm together with local and Italian artists, bands and musicians, with an exceptional line up. A special group created for the festival will open, which combines the world of volunteering with that of music: the TeamBòta Bandwith a repertoire waiting to be discovered.
Afterwards from 12.00 they will take turns on stage Nàe, Useless Excuses, Cumbia Poder, Filippo Malatesta, Camilla & the Cream Donuts, España Circo Este.
There will then be a tribute to David Bowie with the project “The Man Who Fell to Earth” and the performance of Facelessthe winning band of the Rimini contest RisuonaRimini. Director
“Music and the desire to share, have fun and be together are the simple but fundamental ingredients of an event that grows and amazes every year – they explain Daniele Maggioli, Michael Frisoni and Dario Merendino, respectively artistic director and organizers of the Marecchia Dream Fest –. The 2024 edition will see many local and Italian artists taking turns on the stage, in a mix of genres and proposals designed for a varied and transversal audience, from young people to families. Like every year we have chosen to dedicate a tribute to those who have marked the history of music: after Rino Gaetano, Fabrizio De André, John Lennon and Piero Ciampi, in this edition it will be the turn of an unforgettable artist: David Bowie. Not to mention the pride of strengthening our relationship with the world of the third sector again this year, now a fundamental ingredient of our event.
