Filcams Cgil Bari communicates that “in recent days a communication has been forwarded to the unions by the company Soa societa consortile arl of the start of the collective dismissal procedure pursuant to Law no. 223/1991 which affects twelve workers of the administrative offices, of the switchboard, of the commercial and technical offices” with the “Commercial National Collective Labor Agreement due to the crisis situation that continues to grip the Company due to the growing lower turnover and reduced volumes of activity”.
The general secretary of Filcams Cgil of Bari, Antonio Ventrelli, underlines that “this unfortunately represents a sad epilogue announced which is only just beginning, considering the well-known crisis situation of the company”. Filcams Cgil of Bari immediately requested a meeting to carry out the joint examination of the procedure in order to analyze the causes of the redundancies and find possible solutions. From the union comes an invitation to the company “to greater social responsibility towards workers by providing them with the possibility of re-employment and possible retraining and reconversion measures”.
“In the event of closure by the company – adds Ventrelli – during the next joint examination procedures we will be forced to start mobilization and involve the institutions to identify possible solutions for safeguarding employment levels”.
