Bagnaia’s masterpiece in the MotoGP in Jerez – “epic” victory over Marquez

After a disappointing weekend in Texas and a crash in the Sprint Race, Francesco Bagnaia returns triumphant in the Jerez Grand Prix, proving that he is a true world champion.

Starting in an exceptional way, the Italian defended his position from the final attacks of a fierce Marc Marquez, also taking advantage of Jorge Martin’s crash halfway through the race.

Despite a mistake that allowed Martin to temporarily overtake him, Bagnaia managed to get back into the lead and maintain his position.

Marco Bezzecchi completed the podium, while Marquez tried to recover after the fall, but without success. With this victory, Bagnaia moves back to second place in the standings, just 17 points behind the leader.

The race

The race was marked by the crash of Jorge Martin, the championship leader. Martin crashed on lap 11, allowing Bagnaia to reduce the points gap in the standings to just 17 points.

Pecco was dominant in Jerez, taking the lead and controlling the pace, resisting Marquez’s attacks at the end. The battle between the two was spectacular, but Bagnaia was able to maintain his calm and determination until the end, even in the face of Marquez’s aggressive maneuvers.
