Savona attempted murder – Last night around 10pm, the Flying Squad personnel arrested a twenty-seven year old Egyptian, with a criminal record, irregular on the national territory, for attempted murder aggravated by the use of weapons.
The scene of the attacks was an apartment in via Quarda Superiore in Savona, where the police intervened following a report to 112 Nue from an Egyptian who said he was at home being threatened by an angry compatriot.
Once the officers arrived on site they found the twenty-seven year old, in a state of agitation, brandishing two large kitchen knives, a third knife he had stuck in the waistband of his trousers.
The foreigner continued to threaten the two compatriots, so even the officers who intervened, who even with the taser were unable to get the better of the rowdy man, one officer, since there was no other way to disarm him, fired a gunshot, hitting him in the left side.
Even on the ground, once disarmed, he continued to struggle, trying to punch and kick the two compatriots present and the policemen who were trying to contain him.
Also on site were the medics from the 118 Savona ambulance and the local White Cross ambulance which transported the 27-year-old to the emergency room of the San Paolo hospital in Savona under code red.
The man underwent surgery and is in a guarded prognosis.
There is also a tracing note hanging over him for being subject to the security measure of probation with prescriptions issued by the Court of Milan.
