Palermo, serial thefts in the Scinà school: children’s amplifiers and musical instruments stolen
Descriptive text here

Third theft in a week at the Domenico Scinà comprehensive institute in Palermo, in via Giuseppe Li Bassi, in the Montegrappa-Santa Rosalia district. This time the thief, who was caught on camera, also attempted to sabotage the alarm in order to be able to act calmly and complete the raid on the sound system, speakers and musical instruments.

“They seem like commissioned shots – says the principal Maria Gabriella Martorana – They know what’s there and they know where to get them. We organized concerts with the students. They’ve been preparing for months. These thefts put the work done at risk. This time they stole two speakers and were taking the battery with them. In recent days they have stolen other instruments and the sound system. It’s really disheartening. We do a lot for our students – continues the head teacher – and these gestures cause a lot of discomfort. They need to know that we will not retreat an inch and will move forward. Of course it won’t be easy, but we will be able to move forward.”

The investigations are conducted by police officers, who acquired images from the video surveillance systems that filmed the thief in action.
