COLLETORTO-TERMOLI. On the dunes of Termoli, the King’s Candle with its already tall stem, tinged with yellow, newly flowered, intrigued, acts as a good spy for the long trail of calm riders on the beach. Between the scent of the sea and the many shades of blue lit by the sun’s rays, it excites the crowd of tourists present on the seafront. A wonderful scene certainly from another era. The long snake of horses and riders, about two hundred, in rows and ranks, coming from Molise and the surrounding regions, is striking. On the day of Liberation Day, the Termoli coast lights up with so much curiosity. It welcomed in the best way the many groups of knights from Rio Vivo to the mouth of the Sinarca, dominated by the characteristic Saracen Tower which closes the scene.

A truly interesting and unique journey through the environment, history and culture of the sea. Many specimens of the breed are on display along a route where, at this moment, the flowers shine amidst the greenery, along the protected coastal strip. An undoubtedly beautiful habitat where you can breathe an authentic climate. Full of whispers, silent footsteps and voices that recall a nature from times gone by. This is how the long coast of Termoli appears with its many colors. At the fourteenth edition of the “Horseback ride on the beach”, promoted by the Knights of Termoli, the Scuderia of Laura De Girolamo and the Angevin Knights “Roberto de Firmitate” of Colletorto were not missing from the event. Together with their guides, experts on sheep tracks, along the Celano-Foggia, up to the Gargano and Capitanata.

A satisfaction for the groups of Colletorto riders, from the largest to the smallest, punctual as always to enhance the use of the horse among villages, castles, green spots and rural churches. In the exploration of new corners and places, the horse, respecting the environment, remains irreplaceable. It’s a great opportunity. Following the Colletorto knights were many parents and members of the two associations. To spread the pleasure and environmental resources of our natural habitat between the sea, lakes, hills and mountains.
