“In Anzio without reinforcements, life is risked”

“The recent episode of violence faced by un crew from the Anzio police station, engaged in a stop near the Lavinio station, has once again highlighted the serious critical issues in the management of public safety in high-risk areas, falling within the territories of competence of that fundamental police force”. He writes it in a note on Italian Unitary Police Workers Union Provincial Secretariat Siulp Rome.

It is essential to intervene with rapid and effective solutions to ensure that agents can operate in a safe and adequately supported environment. As summer approaches, it is urgent to act promptly to prevent situations that are difficult to contain in this period from becoming unsustainable and ineffective in the warmer months, when the influx of tourists could further aggravate the situation.
We firmly declare that further delays in the actions of the competent authorities cannot be accepted. We ask for an immediate response and the adoption of concrete measures to guarantee the safety of the agents and citizens of Anzio.
