The stadium is packed, but stand B remains closed

CERVETERI – An Enrico Galli stadium full to capacity hasn’t been seen for years for a football match. In the final between Tor di Quinto and Tor Tre Teste, in the regional junior category, there were over 1000 fans. A beautiful day of sport and an impressive organization, managed by the management of the City of Cerveteri, allowed us to participate in a wonderful show. If grandstand B had been open, it would have been even more beautiful. The dilemma remains the same, why after many years is it not possible to resolve the problem of a landscape restriction, linked to a watercourse, which is twenty meters away from the grandstand, when there are facilities that are created close to the rivers? «It’s the administration’s fault – says city councilor Gianluca Paolacci – which is unable to resolve the issue, for which little or nothing is needed. This grandstand was built in 1991, for a few years it was accessible, complete with documentation from the FIGC, then at a certain point it was closed. After years, the time has come to reopen it to give sportspeople, fans, families and children the opportunity to attend football matches and enjoy the spectacle.” Hence Paolacci’s request: «In particular, with two stands, large sporting events could be organized that bring prestige and revenue to the city».
