Mission accomplished: the Audace Cerignola beat Giugliano 3-0 and entered the playoffs from seventh, overtaking three teams in one fell swoop. Raffaele leaves everything unchanged in the 3-5-2, the only forced changes being Barosi and Bianchini in place of the suspended Krapikas and Tascone: Vuthaj and D’Andrea confirmed as forwards. Bertotto lines up a 4-3-3 with the Oviszach-Salvemini-De Sena trident.

Just 3′ and the score breaks the deadlock: personal action by Capomaggio and a shot towards the crossbar, tap in by D’Andrea in front of goal. The Roman attacker conceded an encore in the 17th minute, collecting Coccia’s punctual cross from the right with his head in perfect solitude. In the 29th minute, Menna’s hand on a shot by Vuthaj, the referee points to the spot: Capomaggio converts and the whole team gathers around him for a special dedication. The only outburst from the Campania team in a first half dominated by the Ofantini came when the clock reached 37′: Barosi made a great save from De Sena’s scissors kick.

Danilo Russo avoids the poker at the start of the second half on Sainz-Maza’s tense shot, Vuthaj’s high overhead kick following the development of a corner. The pace is decidedly slower, the local gialloblù manage easily while Giugliano fails to produce a concrete reaction: Dio’s substitute calls Barosi to make a low save.

At the start of injury time (91′), Gonnelli gets a handball and it’s a penalty for the guests: Barosi rejects Salvemini’s central shot. It ends with the “Monterisi” celebration for the goal achieved and constant and exponential growth in recent times. Ironically, in the first round of the playoffs it will be the same match, again in the Via Napoli facility: Mister Raffaele has achieved the objective announced in the presentation conference, now comes the best part for the ‘storks’.
