ANCONA – After months and months, the checks ordered by the Head of House Police Commissioner continue in order to prevent and combat those illicit and degrading behaviors on the part of those who flock to the main streets and squares of Ancona, places of aggregation of young and very young people , particularly monitoring the areas most at risk. The checks also involved the bus lines that go from the outskirts of the city to the city center, mostly used by very young people and which, in the past, have recorded acts of vandalism.
During the service, 101 people were checked, some of them with police bias. Two young women were referred to the Judicial Authority, one girl for possession of narcotic substances, a second for violation of immigration regulations. Specifically, the police noticed a girl, aged around 19, who was trying to hide two “joints” from their sight. Narcotic substance possessed by her for personal use. Instead, the other girl, a non-EU citizen aged around 21, was found in an irregular position on the national territory. Furthermore, during the service, the police checked a commercial establishment without finding any irregularities.
The presence of police officers throughout the centre, through patrolling the area, always guarantees the maintenance of public order and safety. Not only closeness to the community but also closeness, being close especially towards the very young. In fact, the operators willingly welcomed the requests of the little ones to get into the police cars present for the checks, answering all their curiosities.
