State Road 26 near Donnas will remain closed all day due to some debris falling onto the road following a landslide. The detachment occurred yesterday evening, Saturday 2nd, around 11.30pm. There were no people involved.

Landslide in Donnas, highway 26 closed

The road system is interrupted at km 53, just before the roundabout that leads to Donnas, coming from Aosta. To move towards the regional capital you must pass through the motorway. Transit of emergency vehicles and police forces is permitted.

In the area affected by the detachment, explains the mayor of Donnas Amedeo Follioley“work would start as a matter of urgency next week.”

The debris has already been removed.

A stretch of motorway is free

Free entry will be guaranteed to vehicles entering at Pont-Saint-Martin and exiting at Verrès and vice versa. To take advantage of the discount it will be necessary to use the Telepass, or pass through a lane with an operator. Those with automatic payment are therefore excluded. Transport lines will also be diverted to the highway.
