The League also has its say on the vote on the counter-arguments to the observations on the operational plan that arrived in the city council last Tuesday.

“As the Lucca council group of the League for Salvini Premier – write Pasquinelli, Azzarà and Fagnani – we want to express satisfaction with the approval by the Lucca city council of the proposed resolution 43 of March 28, concerning the counterarguments to the observations on the operational plan; practice necessary for the final approval of the plan which must take place by the end of 2024, to avoid the safeguard regime. There is no need today to underline the faults of the previous administration, which are before the eyes of all our fellow citizens, regarding timing and global vision on the destiny of the city, a vision which has raised many observations (over 1500), largely agreeable, from part of private individuals, companies, orders, committees and entire neighborhoods of the city. What is important to highlight are some aspects that could go unnoticed.”

“First of all we want to recognize the merits of Mayor Pardini who emerges as dominator in the sterile political dispute desired by part of the opposition – says the League – Every attempt to discredit him, to find cracks and defects in his administrative management, to attack him has been in vain. with his head down, often criticizing him on issues that conflict with the common good. Today we can say that Mario Pardini has demonstrated that pragmatism and concreteness that is necessary for good administrative management, and which much of the opposition doubted. By maintaining the delegation to urban planning, he wanted to give a clear signal to the city, and his commitment, demonstrated by working hard with the urban planning commission, brought a result that was anything but obvious, especially in terms of timing.
The operational plan has not yet been approved, but this was a fundamental step to provide answers to citizens and businesses in the shortest possible time.”

“On the other hand – concludes the League – the councilors and minority political forces have repeatedly distanced themselves from a leadership, until now in the hands of the leader of the Democratic Party, which appears, to date, no longer to be taken for granted. Choosing the Aventine for the most important administrative practice for the city, which was also established by the administration in which Raspini was councilor, was evidently not a brilliant idea. The League is proud to have been the protagonist of this fundamental step for the future of Lucca and will work to make further improvements. Starting today, we will strive to listen to everyone, citizens, committees, professional associations and businesses, to improve all the perfectible aspects of the operational plan, with amendments and/or variations, as required by law 65″.
