Everything is ready for the ACF promotion party which is just waiting for today’s final whistle against Pierantonio to give life to the celebrations which will involve the whole great blue and white family. The final catwalk will begin at 2.30 pm at the Blasone stadium when all the youth sector teams should parade, and then continue at the end of the match with an event that includes music, entertainment and in which 400 celebratory t-shirts, gadgets and many others will be distributed surprises.

But there is also the match because the blue and whites don’t intend to make a bad impression and indeed they still have one objective, that of reaching 69 in the standings. The record ceiling of 69 points is what Luciano Marini’s Foligno Calcio reached in the 2002/03 season and the ACF has several protagonists in that record-breaking team, starting from the sporting director Filippo Petterini, to the coach of the Juniores Matteo Coresi.

Two stories that intersect for two realities that only a year ago seemed about to merge into a single company. A solution that today, on the contrary, seems far away. In recent days the Foligno fans hung a banner in the Plateatico area with a very clear concept: “Three amateur teams in the city… make one to give us dignity…”. What the supporters are asking for, after the petition that was launched in recent weeks in which the same desire was expressed, is to join forces to present a reality capable of restoring dignity to Foligno football and bringing it back to the glories of the past. “I fully agree with the banner – comments Ivano Bruschi, an old guard of the blue and white fans – because I am convinced of the fact that in this city there is a reality that has demonstrated solidity, perspective, managerial ability and has been able to build in four years a climb of successes that is sensational, starting from a local team. It is a society in which what the project is can be read. Unlike Foligno Calcio where I only see a nebula that envelops everything. Rumors chase each other, proclamations, but in fact the reality is quite disheartening to put it mildly. An idea that could be successful could be to channel all the energies into a single football club, which clearly must at that point aspire to stages more suited to a reality like Foligno and perhaps around it build a network of other clubs that in their autonomy they can support this project which could restore luster to the football history of this city”.

ACF Foligno: Lori, Zichella, Benedetti, Sedran, Settimi, Moracci, Mattia, Bruschi, D’Urso, Di Cato, Calderini. On the bench: Bonomo, Tortoioli, Currieri, Kuqi, Rocchi, De Sanctis, Tempesta, Cesaretti. All. Manni

Pierantonio: Zandrini, Bei, Francioni, Cesarini, Capati, Scarlino, M. Salis, Polidori, Piergentili, Y. Salis, Muca. On the bench: Costantini, Piras, Allegrucci, Gaggioli, Hodaj, Sannipoli, Aronni, Morlandi, Pettinelli. All. G. Bruni.

Referee: Gambirasio from Bergamo.

In the Promotion championship Foligno closes the championship at the home of AMC 98, a team desperately looking for points to remain in the category. For the Falchetti final catwalk to celebrate a salvation that came several days early.
