On the magical evening of April 25th, the Cine-teatro Garden of Rende became the stage for an extraordinary event that touched the deepest chords of the human soul

The Trio Italico’s “Concert for Peace” transcended the boundaries of art to transform itself into a message of hope and solidarity that resonated in every note and every heartbeat.

Under the spotlight of a fascinated audience, the Trio Italico (made up of Antonio De Paoli, Pasquale Allegretti Gravina and Andrea Micieli) offered an unprecedented musical experience. Accompanied by talented musicians such as Andrea Bauleo on the piano, Fabio Guagliardi on the keyboards and Maurizio Mirabelli on the drums, with the extraordinary participation of the tenor Giuseppe Morrone and the percussionist Andrea Reda, the Trio Italico gave life to a concert that dragged the spectators into a unforgettable emotional journey.

But this evening goes beyond entertainment. Organized with passion and commitment by the Cosenza-Tropea delegation of Ambiente Mare Italia (AMI) and the Harmonia association, the “Concert for Peace” had a noble purpose: to raise funds to support the children of Gaza through Unicef. In a world often divided by conflicts and inequalities, the Trio Italico has chosen to use the power of music as a bridge for peace and solidarity. And the audience responded with enthusiasm and generosity, warmly welcoming each performance and demonstrating strong support for the charitable cause. Each note was full of meaning, carrying with it the promise of a better future, in which peace is not just a distant ideal, but a tangible reality to which we can all contribute.

The president of the Unicef provincial committee of Cosenza Monica Perri: «Unicef’s objective, in this specific case, is to ask for a ceasefire and help the children and populations who unfortunately experience this conflict. Wars represent the denial of rights. These children, who are millions in the world, suffer from malnutrition, lack of care, and do not have the opportunity to improve their living conditions. What we do in the area together with the associations, such as Ambiente Mare Italia, Harmonia and the others who supported this project, gives us hope. We believe that peace is truly possible and that these children can live a different existence.”

The president of the Cosenza-Tropea delegation of Ambiente Mare Italia Elena Pistilli: «I am very happy to have had the opportunity to contribute to the great work of Unicef in Gaza. The “Concert for Peace”, promoted by the Trio Italico, is an extraordinary occasion in which music becomes a powerful tool for the common good. Together we can make a difference and bring hope to places that need it most. We thank everyone for their collaboration and a special thanks goes to Marcello D’Ippolito of Cine-teatro Garden”.

Through an eclectic and engaging repertoire, the Trio Italico has been able to speak directly to the hearts of the public, crossing different musical genres and styles with great mastery and extreme sensitivity.

The Trio Italico: «There are three musicians who played with us but it is as if they were our orchestra: they are our beating heart. We thank the Cosenza-Tropea delegation of Ami, the association of which our godmother Elena Pistilli is president, who saw us born and follows us everywhere. Let’s dedicate this evening to her too. We also thank the Harmonia association for their collaboration and our beloved audience.”

The event was presented by Domenico Bongiorno and Francesca Preite who channeled the energy and emotion of the evening. But not just music. The show was enriched by readings of passages by the presidents Elena Pistilli and Monica Perri and the Unicef volunteers Pierpaolo Rogano and Giulia Fiorino.

The “Concert for Peace” by the Trio Italico was a ray of light in the darkness, a song of hope in a world often deaf to the needs of the soul. And so, through the beauty and harmony of music, the Trio Italico has demonstrated that it is possible to build a more peaceful and supportive world for all, a perfect agreement that resonates through the centuries, fueling the flame of hope for a better world.

The mayor of Cosenza Franz Caruso: «Institutions are not always able to organize events of this kind and be promoters of these synergies. Instead, the associations are there and their commitment in the area is significant. Last year, Cosenza was the capital of volunteering thanks to the 1,200 associations and over 12 thousand volunteers present in the area. Many things can be done thanks to them. “The Concert for Peace” is a very important initiative. I came with pleasure as a citizen who wants to contribute to this fundraiser for Unicef. The numerous victims of a war are never the ones we are told: there are many situations of suffering and difficulty that are not directly linked to the bombings but correspond to the traumatic consequences of a terrible situation. Just think of the lack of care and malnutrition. It is important that, on our part too, there is a concrete presence and contribution to try to help these children.”
