The next Siena City Council, which will be held as usual inside the hall of the Captain of the People of the Civic Palace, it is state ccalled to an extraordinary session for Tuesday 30 April at 9 o’clock. The first point of the agenda includes the proposed resolution on the approval of the management report relating to the 2023 financial year, then the proposed resolution relating to the approval of the 2023 management report of the Intronati municipal library institution. The third item on the agenda is the proposed council resolution relating to the change to the 2024-2026 budget forecast, then the proposal on the recognition of legitimacy of off-balance sheet debts, finally the policy document relating to “Cnolly Pavilion, recovery and valorisation of historical, architectural and cultural heritage”.
After the approval of the minutes of the previous council meetings, communications from the President of the City Council and the Presidents of the Council Commissions are expected, followed by questions. The first concerns the modification of the route of the S54 line of the Thumb, the second deals with the development of youth policies. Following, a question on the increase in fees and the appointment of the new director of the ASP “Città di Siena”. Another topic of discussion will be the problem of the current road system in Vico Alto following the closure of access to the neighborhood from Viale Achille Sclavo. The lack of public lighting in the Tolfe street will be one of the items on the agenda, followed by a question on the protection of the minimum wage in the contracts of the Municipality of Siena. The meaning and quality of the 2023 tourism data for the Municipality of Siena will be discussed, while a subsequent question will concern the exhibition “Siena: the rise of painting 1300-1350” organized by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the National Gallery of London. The drafting of the greenery plan will be the next item on the agenda, followed by the topic of the transfer of the Acquacalda nursery school to the hemicycle of San Miniato. The convocation by the Mayor of “a table on the Biotechnopole”, the methods of sending the arrears of condominiums managed by Siena Casa Spa to various condominiums and the conditions of the Santo Spirito prison will then be addressed. Last item on the agenda, the works to adapt the emergency exit of the Nuovo Pendola cinema.
