“The profession of the teacher, together with that of politicians and doctors, today seems to have become one of the most subject to judgment and criticism. One can react to these by closing down or relaunching one’s professionalism, innovating, getting involved and being willing to change in a world, that of our children, projected towards a whirlwind change”. These are the words that Vittoria Paradisi (photo), a literature teacher from Cagli, recently used in the first presentation of “Sfidante”, her book published by Sanoma. An expert in digital teaching and new methodologies, Professor Paradisi explains that the book is the result of years of study and application in the classroom: it is a manual containing examples and practical indications to make lessons more active and engaging”.
The text, which can be purchased online and in bookstores, includes eighteen educational games of different types and fifteen authentic tasks in Italian, history, geography and civic education in which the use of technologies is combined with that of more traditional tools in a targeted way. “The real novelty of this book – continues Paradisi – is the presence, for all the proposed activities, of a QR code that refers to the link to access both the ready-made product and its editable version”. The author, currently employed at the secondary school of Urbania, has been holding training courses for teachers for numerous schools throughout Italy for ten years and collaborates with important entities in the field of education such as Mondadori Education, Focus Junior, Flipnet and Teachers 2.0.
