In Germany, in Herzogenaurach, the Italian completes his collection of national records with the missing piece: with a time of 27:08 he comes close to the European record of the Frenchman Jimmy Gressier (27:07 on 17 March), missed by just one second, and demolishes the previous Italian record that belonged to Pietro Riva and Yohanes Chiappinelli since 2022 (27:50), signing an improvement of 42 seconds on the previous limit and 55 seconds on the personal best that he had achieved in Bolzano on the last day of the last year.
From today, therefore, the Fiamme Oro rider from Trentino simultaneously holds the Italian records for the 3000, 5000, 10,000, 5 km, 10 km, half marathon and marathon.
