Monterotondo Marittimo (Grosseto). The municipal council of Monterotondo Marittimo, in today’s session, resolved the reduction of the Tari on door-to-door and local collection with benefits for all citizens.
A measure made possible by the agreement between the municipal administration and Acea, owner of the anaerobic plant based in Monterotondo Marittimo, inaugurated in 2019, which provides for the collection of economic resources by the Municipality deriving from environmental inconvenience allowances (Ida). This is the first year that the system is fully operational, granting the Municipality an amount paid for each ton delivered to the plant.
This has allowed the Municipality to have a greater availability of resources to lower the PEF, the Economic Financial Plan, i.e. the overall expense that the municipal administration must pay for waste collection and disposal. And consequently to have margins to predict further reductions on the Tari.
In particular: for door-to-door collection and local collection with bins positioned at a distance from the user within 300 metres, the reduction in the Tari passes from 20% to 40%; for local collection within one kilometre, the reduction applies from 30% to 50% and for local collection beyond a kilometer away from the bin the reduction applies from 40% to 60%.
“This is a very important measure: – he comments Mayor – in fact, thanks to the resources guaranteed to us by the presence of the anaerobic plant we were able to find a solution to buffer the strong increase in the PEF suffered by the Municipality and, for this year, generated above all due to Arera’s decisions, even decreasing the amounts of the last year’s bills. It is necessary and proper to express a big thank you to the Financial Services sector for the excellent and rapid work carried out, which was also in a phase of great commitment for the Institution”.
