The anticipation grows more every minute. Tomorrow, Sunday 28 April at 3.00 pm, is the date circled in red for some time by both Pietralunghese and Castel del Piano, called to play a season in ninety minutes.
The promotion group A calendar seems to have come out of a magician’s hat, placing the most awaited race of the year on the last day, like a real grand final!
The Pietralunghese leads the ranking with 63 points, Castel del Piano is two points behind. An inevitably fiery climate will accompany the dispute.
THE NUMBERS – Pietralunghese has the best attack in the group (74 to 61), Castel del Piano responds with the least perforated defense (25 to 27). At home, Luca Pierotti’s team won 8 times, also putting together 5 draws and one defeat (in November against Calzolaro), while away, Luca Grilli’s Castel del Piano rejoiced on 9 occasions, drawing just 2 times and losing 3 occasions (Pontevecchio, Nuova Alba and Selci Nardi). In the first leg Pietralunghese won away (2-0).
SHAPE – Examining the last five matchdays highlights the turnaround carried out by the team of owner Giuliano Martinelli who scored 11 points thanks to three victories and two draws, while the club of president Francesco Pace scored just 7 points, the result of two victories and as many defeats and a draw.
