Frontini: ‘Three arrested already and they are all Italian’
VITERBO – Maxirissa at the Shrine, mayor Chiara Frontini intervenes. The mayor of Viterbo intervenes on the episode of violence which occurred yesterday, Friday 26 April, between the former church of the Almadiani and the shrine to the fallen and which involved around ten people, after a quarrel started by some boys, where they intervened of as many law enforcement agencies including carabinieri and state police. A maxirissa with bars, kicks and punches under the eyes of passers-by and tourists.
“The safety of citizens and the fight against degradation and petty crime are at the center of the concerns of those who administer the territory despite having no operational functions and responsibilities – so wrote the mayor Frontini on social media – In recent months I have always been in contact with the Prefect and the Police Commissioner, the highest authorities responsible for guaranteeing the safety of citizens. Much has been done, there is still more to do. Since January there have been no more episodes of insecurity in the Shrine area and even yesterday’s event, whose protagonists are all Italian nationals and 3 have already been arrested, could have happened anywhere because it was animated by futile reasons. The cameras in the area recorded everything and other subjects were reported. The prompt intervention against brawls and phenomena of violence by the police, even yesterday, promptly repressed and avoided worse scenarios.
Furthermore, the mayor also wanted to say a few words regarding the security that will exist during the day of May 7th: ‘To avoid any possible looting during the evacuation necessary to defuse the bomb we will use 5 drones that will fly over all the areas identifying anyone who moves, unauthorized, in the red zone”.
