CRC Foundation, last days of frenetic negotiations – Targatocn.it

The outcome – at least as regards the top position – seems to have been written for a few weeks, but until the new Board of Directors has been installed, anything can still happen in the tormented affair of the Cassa di Risparmio di Cuneo Foundation.

The deadline for submitting nominations for the presidency with the associated lists and, at the same time, the related programs expires on Tuesday 30 April.

If on the presidency of Mauro Gola there seems to be no doubts anymore, however uncertainties still persist regarding the two vice-presidencies and the composition of the Board of Directors, in particular regarding the representation of the Municipality of Cuneo.

For the vice presidency, the names that remain in pole position are those of Francesco Cappello for the Alba area, and of Elena Merlatti or Mirco Spinardi for the Monregalese one.

The first was designated by the Municipality of Mondovì, the second by Villanova Mondovì.

For days, tensions (exacerbated by the concomitance of regional elections) have affected the council majority of the capital where the mayor Patrizia Manassero has not yet decided who she will seat on the board of directors.

Cuneo aspires to two places, but it is not a given that it can obtain them.

The names on Manassero’s desk are – as is well known – three: Federico Borgnainitially indicated for the presidency; Luisella Cavallolawyer, a name appreciated by the Democratic Party (in particular by the national vice-president of the party Chiara Gribaudo), e Beppe Delfinocoordinator of the civic list “Centro per Cuneo” and president of Acda.

In these hours, someone – from the top levels of politics (in a bipartisan manner) – to get out of the impasse, would have put the name of Alberto Valmaggiaformer mayor of Cuneo and former regional councilor for the mountains.

Valmaggia’s name has emerged not so much by virtue of his political-administrative past but rather as a person currently involved in the front row in the world of volunteering, both as Guarantor of prisoners and as president of Lvia, the international cooperation association founded by Don Aldo Benevelli.

However, the political framework within which the future governance of the CRC will be outlined still remains to be understood.

That is, if, this weekend and on Monday, the margins will be found to avoid reaching the count, or if the clash will be inevitable.

Rumors report that if this were to be the case, the clash will be harsh and with no holds barred.

The backdrop is the specter of what happened a few days ago in Turin with the resignation of the president of the CRT FoundationFabrizio Palenzona with all the consequences that are resulting from it, including the possibility of being placed under commissionership.
