«Libera» flowers for the anniversary

«A flower for Aldo and Raffaele»: many responded to the appeal of «Libera» today and, starting from 9am, the commemorative stele located in the municipal villa of Benevento acted as the center of gravity for the affection, the gratitude and emotion that, 42 years after their assassination, continue to arouse the figures and the tragic story of the regional councilor Raffaele Delcogliano and his friend and collaborator Aldo Iermano.

The activists of the coordination of “Free” in Benevento they were the first to pay homage to the two victims of the Red Brigades, who acted on the basis of an “infamous pact” with the Camorra. Following, the flowers of the diocesan Catholic Action, of the Anpi section of Benevento, of the diocesan youth ministry, of the «Laboratory for public happiness», of the Scout Agesci Zona Samnium, of the municipal administration of Benevento represented by the deputy mayor Francesco De Pierro, of citizens and other local entities.

The flower laying will continue today until this evening, when a commemorative moment will be held in the Memorial Garden of the church of Santa Maria degli Angeli in Benevento for Delcogliano, Iermano and for the young carabiniere from Sant’Agata Tiziano Della Ratta. It will be the closing of this three days of memory “as a constant, lasting, plural, inclusive and collective exercise”.
