The transit arrives under the banner of the last kilometre, and that of the finish line is just ahead. One victory is missing, to get to cut it with arms raised and collectively breathe a sigh of relief of those giant format. A success like the one, of anger, achieved at home with Sestri Levante and like the one, achieved with maturity and intelligence, celebrated in Pescara. Six points that changed the face of Ancona’s championship final, going from the concrete fear of a play-off derby to maintain the category to the tempting chance of saving themselves by relying only on their own strength, simply completing their duty and thus placing the calculator in a drawer and dispelling all fears.
Even the calendar, however, seems to wink at the red and whites.
