Tensions in Amalfi: punches to the bus driver, tourist from Viareggio stopped

Moments of tension in Amalfi almost at the end of this day of assault on the Divina which saw a disproportionate number of visitors flock to the major tourist centers.

A few minutes after 7.00 pm, in Piazza Flavio Gioia, there was a crowd and jostling as the Sita bus headed for Agerola boarded the bus. Big words flew and an angry tourist punched the side window of the bus, breaking it.

Then the same man, a 32 year old man from Viareggio, angrily took it out on the driver who was guilty of not letting him on board due to the maximum capacity being reached.

The driver from Salerno was punched in the face and had to be transferred by ambulance to the nearby emergency room in Castiglione. The Carabinieri from the local station arrived on site and identified the tourist from Viareggio, wearing hiking clothes and equipment, stationed in Agerola with his girlfriend.
