This morning, April 27, there was a complaint made to the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Alessandria, for the moment against unknown persons, to shed light on the atrocious death of a cat, which yesterday, Friday 26 April, was found skinned alive in via Papa Giovanni XXIII, near the Villa Cora retirement home; he was transported to the Repetti veterinary clinic in Serravalle Scrivia, where the vets were only able to ascertain the death of the cat.
The animal rights association writes in a statement that in the complaint the Prosecutor’s Office is asked to «investigate what happened to clarify the contours of the story. Remembering what happened almost six months ago in Angri where the cat Leone was found skinned alive and died after 4 days of atrocious suffering, we are terrified that it could be an act of a sadist, but if it were to emerge that it was actually the attack of a dog, we will not have peace until we identify and bring to book the owner of that dog, who, having left it free, would be responsible of what happened.”
The local police of Sale intervened and started investigations into the incident. Even the mayor, Rina Arzani, immediately went to via Papa Giovanni XXIII when she learned of the discovery of the cat.
