Treviso, mayor Conte: “Vannacci is anachronistic, I listen to the people” | Today Treviso | News

TREVISO – The mayor of Treviso, Mario Conte, does not want to go into the merits of Roberto Vannacci’s statements, branding them as ‘”anachronistic and far from the sentiment of the citizens”. A diplomatic way that implies a flat rejection of the thought of the general candidate in the European League which Conte comments as “a will of the secretariat and I adapt.

I want to get away – he explains – from individual opinions on ideas that I don’t share, and I base myself on the comparison of popular feelings, as every mayor does. On the school front we are doing a great job, also on students with disabilities and I live on this issue every day not to know how much work has been done, even with forms of mediation… And to know that it is an extraordinary opportunity for people that they don’t have disabilities. The kids tell me this, with different characteristics. It’s anachronistic. The rest speaks for itself.”

DA RE’S ARROWS

Vannacci’s candidacy “is improper within the League, it is far right, the most vulgar that can be found within the constitutional arc”: he doesn’t mince words GianAntonio Da Rethe ‘historic’ former MEP of the Veneto Northern League movement, expelled by Salvini for his declarations against Via Bellerio.

For Da Re, the choice of Vannacci as leader of the European elections also in Veneto “is one offense to the historic and non-historical Northern League electorate, made by workers, members of the CGIL, the world of agriculture, VAT numbers, entrepreneurs“, united around “an extraordinary idea first of federalism and then of autonomy”. “I had already said that I considered Vannacci an inappropriate candidate for the League and for its electorate – continues Da Re -. It has nothing to do with the League and he said so himself. I would therefore like to understand why Matteo Salvini is nominating him. Is he doing it to get a few more votes? “For the former exponent of the Veneto Northern League, with that candidate, will the Northern League members themselves not go to vote. The League’s MEPs will drop considerably.”
