During a crowded meeting in Lamezia Terme Laura Castelli, President of the South calls North – Freedom, he presented his candidacy together with the Calabrian coordinator Massimo Cristiano. He will be present, with Cateno De Luca, throughout the national territory. During the meeting, the EU system was harshly stigmatized, starting with the adoption of the single currency.
Massimo Cristiano today chose to be at the forefront of an electoral battle that he intends to start from the Lamezo area. “This European model represents a problem, causing the halving of purchasing power for families. A system that does not protect the interests of peoples, that kills freedom, that wants to eliminate identities and that is dragging us into a war, protecting the interests of lobbies, speculative finance and multinationals. It imposes cricket flour on us, affecting our farmers, beach resorts, street vendors, our homes, in short it imposes austerity, precarious employment with starvation contracts, cuts in public spending, pensions, healthcare, the security sector, schools, raising taxes. With the European rules, imposed by Brussels, which will be even more rigid with the new stability pact, no government will be able to implement an economic and political line in favor of the people. In short, this Europe is useless, it makes us slaves and we want our sovereignty starting with monetary sovereignty“, say Castelli and Cristiano.
For the two political exponents, Europe is the cause of new poverty which could be addressed by questioning the current structure of a system judged to be anti-democratic starting from the bottom. In short, a completely anti-system speech, a political characteristic of Cateno De Luca’s movement. Finally, Massimo Cristiano, returning to local issues and addressing the square of Lamezia Terme, thundered: “I perceive a popular discontent towards the Mascaro Administration which has no equal, there is no point in complaining, we need to give a strong political signal by voting for a Party, like Cateno De Luca’s Libertà, which breaks with the current clientelistic political system”.
