LECCE (ITALPRESS) – Everything happens in injury time between Lecce and Monza, who drew 1-1 at the Via del Mare at the end of a match that had said little or nothing until the ninetieth minute. Krstovic and Pessina scored the two goals of the match from a penalty. The first opportunity came in the 21st minute thanks to the guests, when Kyriakopoulos shot left-footed from long range, but the ball went out to the left of Falcone, who seemed to be on the path. The rest of the hamlet is anything but exciting. In the final, the Salento team tried with a close-range triple conclusion in the middle of a scrum, with the defenders always ready to counter. Despite the whirlwind of substitutions, the two rivals were no longer able to become dangerous until the 43rd minute, when Gallo kicked weakly with his right foot from a good position after a long ride with the ball at his feet on the left flank, embellished with a dribble to return to D’ Ambrosio. When everything seemed to be heading towards a goalless draw, the Giallorossi scored the lead in the 2nd minute of injury time. Newly introduced Pierotti is good at acting as a header on a long ball and passes it backwards for Krstovic, who throws a powerful and precise right-footed shot under the far top corner that Di Gregorio cannot reach. It looked like the winning goal, but when play resumed, the Brianza team earned a penalty for a handball committed by Venuti in the area. Pessina appears from the spot, displacing Falcone and scoring the 1-1 which puts an end to the dispute. The draw allows Gotti’s men to gain a valuable point from the point of view of survival, rising to 36 and remaining in thirteenth place. The Brianza team, however, remain two positions higher with 44 points.
