Luca Montali, the president of E se Tomorrow, the association that defends the rights of LGBT people, had said it in an interview given to Terni in Rete that the 39 associations organizing the TransfemPride in Terni would not have asked for the patronage of Common. This is due to the sexist and macho attitudes and behaviors of the mayor Stefano Bandecchi.
A week later the mayor decided to reply with an Instagram video. “Not that I’m particularly interested in giving patronage – he clarifies – but it’s you who aren’t asking for it. You are not inclusive, you are divided. I have nothing against you, in fact I even like you, it’s you who have something against me. If you want to obtain something you must ask for our patronage, thus also demonstrating lack of intelligence, make careful reflection”.
Then in a short post in the mayor he specifies his thoughts: “it’s not bullshit, but if you continue to think backwards, it could become one.”
