A earthquake of magnitude 3.1 it occurred in the Barberino di Mugello area, in the province of Florence. The National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology reports this. The hypocenter was located at approx 10 km deep.
Mild seismic tremors had already been recorded in the area for a few hours, the strongest having struck magnitude 3.1 and occurred at 00.58.
