In the episode of “Northwest Passage” which will be broadcast on Saturday 27 April on Rai 1, Alberto Angela will take viewers to discover the treasures kept in the underground deposits of the MANN.

The love relationship of Alberto Angela with Naples it is now known. The well-known presenter and science communicator dedicated entire episodes of his most famous programs to the city and, for this very reason, he was awarded honorary citizenship and an honorary degree by the Federico II University. And, again in Naples, Alberto Angela is preparing to dedicate another episode of one of his best-known programmes: this time it is about “Northwest Passage”within which the presenter will take the spectators to discover the works, real treasures, kept in the underground deposits of the MANNthe National Archaeological Museum of Naples.

The appointment is at 3pm on Saturday 27 April on Rai 1. Among the many treasures kept in the basement of the MANN – which is located in the historic center of Naples – there are also works, sculptures and frescoes recovered from the excavations of Pompeii and those of Herculaneum. The episode of “Northwest Passage”, then, will also take a journey in search of the origins of modern man. And then, the “marriage strategy” of the Habsburgs who, thanks to the arranged marriages of their daughters with the rulers of other states, managed to impose themselves. Closing the episode, a trip to the Isle of Man, one of the few places in the world with a public rail transport network built in the Victorian era.
