“I want to personally congratulate the commissioner Sabrina Cenciarelli and the former manager Silvia Cavalli, for the recognition given to the Latina ASL, which was the first healthcare company in Italy to receive gender equality certification”. This was stated in a note by Enrico Tiero, president of the Economic Development and Productive Activities commission, as well as member of the Health commission of the Lazio Regional Council, who continues: “The local health company of Latina can boast four hospitals such as the Santa Maria Goretti of Latina , Alfredo Fiorini of Terracina, San Giovanni di Dio of Fondi and Dono Svizzero of Formia and five districts, in which 66 percent of women work daily. Furthermore, women make up 51 percent of the managers of the Pontine Local Health Authority We should be proud of the goal achieved, which rewards many years of work on the issues of gender inclusion and valorisation. Gender Certification is the starting point for further improvement in some areas in the future three-year period, the deadline for the next renewal In particular, the Certification will make the Company more competitive due to the multiple advantages, direct and indirect economic, in terms of competitiveness and reputation. To obtain the green light for Gender Certification it is necessary to have over 60% of indicators with a positive vote . The Latina ASL even passed the scrutiny of external evaluators, obtaining a value of 81%, thus demonstrating the commitment made so far by the Company in continuous improvement in the management of internal staff and towards external users in terms of equal opportunities , gender equality and the fight against discrimination, for the promotion of a culture of inclusiveness and valorisation of diversity. I believe that this result is the result of work carried out by capable and competent managers, such as the former general director Silvia Cavalli and I am certain that the action of the new commissioner Sabrina Cenciarelli will be characterized by continuity in terms of efforts and results aimed to improve the quality of health services in our province”.
