Sanremo. Another day different from the usual ones spent by the children of the elementary school in via Asquasciati in Sanremo, included within theSanremo Ponente Comprehensive Institute. This time the students belonging to different sections of the Institute’s fifth primary school, for a total of around fifty young boys, left school for a day to visit the Carabinieri Company of Sanremo in Corso degli Inglesi.
The meetings began in the very early hours of the morning and, after the usual presentations, the children were shown the cars supplied to the Department: the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Giulietta of the Radiomobile Section, but also the pedal-assisted bicycles “Italwin Travel Adventure”, particularly suitable for the Sanremo context for the control of the city’s pedestrian areas and the long stretch of the cycle path that runs on the grounds of the disused coastal section of the railway.
Subsequently, the visit moved inside the Company where the boys had
way of being able to witness the daily activities of the Carabinieri soldiers live
visiting the barracks, the offices of the Headquarters Commanders and the premises into which they come
photographic reports were carried out and fingerprints were acquired of the people arrested or stopped.
The students’ enthusiasm was translated into the many questions and curiosities addressed to the soldiers
of the Corps who, by expertly calibrating their responses to the young interlocutors, were able to clarify
exhaustively every aspect relating to the procedures adopted during interventions on the road e
the methods of accessing the profession of Carabiniere. At the end of the beautiful day, the event was immortalized by a beautiful souvenir photo of the children together with the teachers and the Carabinieri.
