SaxMeet Ensemble in concert in Como
The historic Collegio Gallio, a symbolic place of the city of Como, will open its doors to an international cultural event on Saturday 4 May at 8.30 pm. The SaxMeet Ensemble, a one-of-a-kind formation made up of nine professional saxophonists, founded in 2020 by the Maestro Silvia Guglielmelli, will propose a concert lesson as the final event of the “A tutto sax” music festival, now in its sixth edition. The event, with free entry, is sponsored by the Municipality of Como.

The ensemble has to its credit numerous sold out concerts with audiences in Italy, Switzerland and France and two important tours; furthermore, in 2023, he released his first album entitled “Around Piazzolla” dedicated to the famous Argentine composer. The music festival (in collaboration with Buffet Crampon Paris, Somaini Strumenti Musicali created by Silvia Guglielmelli) invites an international artist every year as an exceptional guest to hold a specialization Masterclass, aimed at all sax students in the area, and at the end , as the final protagonist of the concert together with the SaxMeet Ensemble.

The exceptional soloist Michel SuperaFrench professor at the Douai Conservatory in Northern France, will perform accompanied by the SaxMeet Ensemble in a captivating program.
During the evening there will also be a fundraiser for an important project: The proceeds from the lesson-concert will be donated to charity in favor of the “Camille Saint-Saens” Institute of Music Therapy and Arts for Therapies of Crosio delle Valle (Varese) in support of the precious work that the doctor Barbara Sgobbi and his entire incredible team carries out.
