FOOTBALL: Rimini closes the championship in Gubbio, Melini, “We will have to fight”
Descriptive text here

It is dedicated to the memory of the Bolognese television sports journalist and gentleman driver Giancarlo Monari, who passed away at the age of 83 just over a month ago, and to his best-known horses on the afternoon of Saturday 27 April at the Arcoveggio Hippodrome in Bologna. Monari was very active in horse racing especially in the 1980s. There are seven races on the programme, starting at 3pm. The most important one will be the fourth which will see nine gentlemen at the start with their own horses, with the underdogs divided between Balalaica Matto and Matteo Zaccherini, who on Friday afternoon won in Follonica with Chrono Ek, and Zingaro Gadd with Elena Bruniera who will have the advantage of starting with number 2, ideal for trying to take the lead; it is the same number that he had last March 31st, when he won in Bologna in the last outing, but as we see in the images the pattern was different with the start at the tapes. At the end of the gentleman’s race the family will deliver some horse racing memorabilia of Giancarlo Monari to the Trotting Museum in Migliarino, in the province of Ferrara.
