waste of all kinds defaces the environment and creates a danger to public hygiene

Here we go again: another dramatic report comes from the Coppe district, which has become an open-air landfill. The patch of countryside between the municipal cemetery, the extension of via Sgarantiello, up to the Ciappetta Camaggio canal and SS 170 towards Castel del Monte, contains waste of all types and of all types of danger, in particular bags full of waste, especially plastic. A spectacle which, in a hidden area like this but full of olive trees and oaks one step away from the “Trifora Cycle Route”, makes this district in a particularly emergency condition.

The report, needless to say, was made by a diligent citizen who simply invited us to take a walk in these places, where although there is a collection service this is not often active, despite the residents being paying users: «Let’s go back to report what happens in the Coppe district, now reduced to an open-air landfill – reports one of the residents – waste of all kinds accumulates day by day. Sometimes we are forced to do the slalom to get home. I ask the institutions to take action against these uncivilized people, perhaps using camera traps.”

Sometimes, unfortunately, it is the waste collection service itself that does not even provide the scheduled collection in front of users’ homes. The appeal is loud and clear: immediately clean the area and restore the regular conditions of the waste collection service by the companies in charge.
