Cosenza Comics and Games, the largest event dedicated to pop culture in all of Calabria, returns in spring bringing with it a series of surprises and news. The event dedicated to comics and gaming will take place in May 2024 in two now iconic locations. The long-awaited festival will take place on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 May, from 10:00 until the evening, at the Santa Chiara Water Park in Rende (CS).

For the tenth edition the organization has chosen the claim “Celebration”an invitation to all participants celebrate ten years of the event. Here, you will have the opportunity to participate in guest speeches, meet them at meet-and-greets after conferences, attend musical performances, take part in video game tournaments and participate in various outdoor gaming activities.

The Museum of the Present, located in Piazza R. Kennedy in Rende (CS), will host the exhibitions of the 2024 edition again this year. The inauguration is scheduled for Friday 10 May with a special opening event. For the first time, the exhibitions will also host the participation of guests from the comics and entertainment scene on a weekly basis.

The 2024 edition therefore promises to be not only the largest, but also the longest lasting over time, with a calendar full of events and experiences. The exhibitions can be visited from Tuesday to Saturday according to the museum’s opening hours until June 29th.

Last year the people who visited the exhibitions and participated in the festival were over 30,000. In fact, this year the anticipation for the tenth celebratory edition is already palpable not only among the Calabrian public, but also in the surrounding regions. Cosenza Comics and Games confirms itself as an event of great importance for the territory, helping to encourage and deseasonalize the tourism attracted to Calabria.

Looking forward to the event was the official manifesto revealed which, as per tradition, portrays the symbolic characters of the event. The two anthropomorphic wolves Kepler and Alariko are the two historical mascots of Cosenza Comics and their adventures have accompanied the event since the first edition.

In this year’s illustration they are portrayed as they dive into the depths of the abyss to discover the mysterious creatures of the seabed, by the hand of the artist Simone Buonfantino. Guest of the previous edition, Buonfantino, is an Italian cartoonist and illustrator who has collaborated with Disney and who has been working with Marvel since 2016 and more recently with the DC Comics team.
