Cycling, Crenna Grand Prix: Ferro and Matteini win


GALLARATELuca Ferro and Samuele Matteini – first and second year Beginners category – they win Crenna Grand Prix organized by the almost centenary (the candles will be blown out in September) Ciclistica Crennese.

The race, now in its fifth edition, saw 127 participants between the two categories. Iron of Bustese Olonia won in the first year rookie category, second Marco Cammarata of the Polisportiva Besnatese, third Luca Vitale of Corbettese. Matteini from Corbettese won the second year rookies category by beating in the photo finish Matteo Botta of the Senaghese Pedal and Alex Rey Bramati of Besanese.

The three Trophies

The runners-up went to Trophy in memory of Luisella Calligara Fossadelivered by Gabriele Lodi.
The trophy in memory of Giordano Lodi – historic president of SC Crennese – was presented by his children Elena and Giovanni (cycling advisor) e Gabriel (vice president).
The Marco Limido Trophy it was established in memory of the young man from Crenna, a cycling enthusiast, who died after being hit by a car in 2016. It was awarded to the winners’ club for both categories.
