An episode of unspeakable cruelty occurred this morning in Anzio (Rome), where a homeless he was set on fire while he was sleeping. The man was rescued and rushed to hospital, and is currently hospitalized in serious condition. Investigators are trying to trace the identity of those responsible.

The homeless man was sleeping in his bed set up in the Padiglione railway station in Anzio, when he was targeted by unknown assailants.
