The Book Festival begins on Sunday 12 May, at 10.30 am, at Molini Marzoli, with Ezio Guaitamacchi, and will end on Sunday 19 May.

The Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Culture Manuela Maffioli he underlined that it is an increasingly impressive festival, which surpasses itself from edition to edition.

What creates a lot of interest is the presentation of the essay entitled “Creative Communication for socio-humanitarian development” written by the journalist Biagio Maimoneto be held Saturday 18 May, at 8.30 pm, in the Municipal Library – Sala Monaci. He will moderate Annamaria Folchini Stable.

Biagio Maimone dedicated the book, published by the publishing house TraccePerlaMeta by Annamaria Folchini Stabile and Paola Surano, to His Holiness Pope francesco.

The book is receiving a lot of interest as it proposes the need for a new communication model that places human relationships at the center and, even more so, the moral and human emancipation of today’s society.

Based on the observation of the countless distorted communications conveyed by numerous media and means of communication, including social media, harbingers of a subculture that cannot be allowed as it impoverishes civil society by deteriorating human relations, Biagio Maimone believes that the need can no longer be postponed to bring to life a language free from lies, offenses and foul language.

For this reason it underlines the importance of the creative use of the word, such as to generate dialogue and not conflict, such as to be a harbinger of life and human relationships, so that it is at the service of the moral and spiritual emancipation of today’s society.

Biagio Maimone stated: “I wrote ‘Creative communication for socio-humanitarian development’, now in all bookshops, with the aim of highlighting the no longer put off need to review the use of language or, more precisely , of the word. We can see how often the mass media, and even more so social media, convey messages whose contents are pervaded by violence and social hatred, with the intent to discredit and burn those they believe to be an adversary.

What emerges is the emergence of a subculture of communication that risks increasingly impoverishing human relationships, as the messages it conveys are uneducational.

In my text, which intends to counteract this cultural impoverishment and its harmfulness, it is emphasized that the word is life as it must generate life in its most noble and spiritual expressions.

It is my intent to underline the central value of the educational Word, of the Word that creates human relationships based on mutual respect, respect for the sacredness of human dignity, which, therefore, cannot be humiliated with offenses and lies. Highlighting the need to use the word vital, we want, at the same time, to place at the center the founding value of Truth, which certainly has the power to lead towards improving dimensions of human existence.

The vital word is the word that harbingers of that spiritual beauty that must support the foundations of our society so that peace and love can live, without which our universe loses its laws and then loses the very meaning of existence.”
