Bruzziches case, part of the minority working to ask for the constitution as a civil party of the Municipality. The political use of the judiciary also lands in Viterbo

VITERBO – Where you can’t get there with politics, maybe you get there by “using” the judiciary. This seems to be the “stupendous thought” that “is born a little creeping” that someone at Palazzo dei Priori would intend to ride.

Thus, in the days in which we are awaiting a ruling from the investigating judge on the request for immediate proceedings for Fabio Cavini and the mayor Chiara Frontini, there are those from the opposition benches who are fanning the flames and have started working on a draft of an order of the day with which to request the constitution of the Municipality as a civil party.

A new “weapon” to try to tighten the grip of the “moral question” on the majority councilors and try to open cracks in it to bring down the Frontini administration from within. A reaction from the mayor’s detractors to her declared intentions not to resign and to the shield raised by some councilors who have publicly, in the press, declared themselves to be guarantors up to the third degree of judgement.

The political trick is simple: put pressure on the councillors, focusing on the inexperience and political naivety of some of them. The “shoulder machine” is on and the aim is to give gas from the day of the city council on the budget where Bruzziches opened “fire” and announced threats, the complaint to the Prosecutor’s Office and his exit from the majority.

On that day, which in the ears of some had already been announced as the day of the fall of Frontini, political exponents extraneous to the work of the council and attracted by the news of the imminent fall had flocked to the Ercole room. A fall that didn’t happen and which therefore proved the “narrators” who had warned them wrong, putting the latter in a state of embarrassment due to their manifest lack of reliability. An unpleasant question which has probably ignited the hatred even more (because we can smell the hatred on this story) and created great agitation among those who have the clear political objective of bringing down Frontini, masking everything behind the classic elastic skin of ” good of the city”.

Now we want to bring to the council the request for the constitution of the Municipality as a civil party, with the “shrewdness” typical of foxes (or cats), in order to be able to issue judgments and sentences on the morality of those who should not vote for it. Even if voting for it has little to do with morality, on the contrary. Montesquieu, theorist of the division of powers in democratic systems, would shudder at certain untruthful and very “asshole” speeches.

Politics and the judiciary should follow their path with serenity. Also because it would be embarrassing for anti-guarantee political forces in Rome (see vote on Salvini and Santanché) to disguise themselves as justicialists in Viterbo. An inconsistency, yes, rather immoral and abundantly “paracula”. Especially on a matter about which nothing is known and on which it becomes fundamental, in order to evaluate, to acquire information from the accuser (to date we know too little about the prosecution evidence, or rather worse: we only know what he wanted us to know in the newspapers , and it is legitimate to ask what purpose it served if not to pursue political objectives, the accuser) and the accused. Things could also be different, the situation could end up in a trial very differently from what it might seem today. At that point who would compensate for the damage to the city’s democracy? Would the councilors who are currently pushing for an early fall do so? No, they would laugh up their sleeves. When the mayor falls, the saint (and the city) is fooled.
