Playoffs one step away, just do it. After the thrilling success on Chisola, the Varese flew to 64 points (record for the new bosino course) must guard in the last two games a precious +5 on sixth position: we will start from Sunday 28 April at “Franco Ossola” against Voghera for the last one (except playoffs) home match of the season.
The red and whites therefore return to face one medium/low ranking teamwhich suggests a match similar to the one seen against Pinerolo (much more closed) rather than the one played on Sunday in Vinovo (played more openly)even more so because Vogherese needs safety points.
The Rossoneri have experienced a fluctuating seasonin some ways like that of Varese, but with many more lows: the victory has been missing for four days and the ranking has become quite complicated (just one point ahead of the playout zone). Varese and RG Ticino are certainly not the softest opponents to close the season, but Mister Molluso’s team has more than a few weapons to exploit (even if Matteo Gerace will be missing from midfield due to disqualification) to put the red and whites in difficulty.
For its part, Varese certainly arrives galvanized by the victory over Chisola. Since we live on motivation, the -5 from the Turin team still leaves us some residual hope of grabbing second place and play a possible playoff final at home. It is clear, however, that the primary objective is to achieve victory first of all for lock down the post season and then for extend the streak of consecutive useful results to six. The Varese seen in Vinovo demonstrated that they are a team that knows how to entertain: the red and whites are called to repeat themselves once again.
