The investigating judge Giulio Argenio rejected the request to attenuate the measure for the former mayor Gialuca Festa who remains under house arrest. He dissolved the reservation since in his opinion the precautionary needs for which the precautionary measure was triggered remained unchanged.

On March 26, former mayor Festa resigned after the legal storm that had seen him involved together with a city councilor, a manager of the City Hall and some professionals and entrepreneurs. Festa was arrested on 18 April and placed under house arrest at the request of the Irpinia prosecutor’s office as part of an investigation into alleged rigged contracts. Investigation in which the deputy mayor Laura Nargi, the former city councilor Diego Guerriero, group leader of the civic list in support of Festa, are investigated. The former municipal manager of the Public Works and Productive Activities sector Filomena Smiraglia and the architect Fabio Guerriero, brother of councilor Diego, are under house arrest. We are now waiting for the hearing before the Court of Review to be set.
