The governor of Tuscany Eugenio Giani, the president of the Federciclismo Cordiano Dagnoni, the commissioner of the Professional Cycling League Cesare Di Cintio, the president of the Tuscany Cycling Committee Saverio put, together with mayors, representatives of the 11 municipalities involved, and the organizers of the 8 companies interested, they defined the “Tuscany, cradle of cycling”.
Among those present also the coach of the women’s national team Paolo Sangalli, Andrea Tafi, Elisabetta Nencini, Silvia Parietti and Giancarlo Brocci. The “Toscana Tricolore 2024” program is dedicated to 4 great cycling champions and personalities, Gino Bartali, Alfredo Martini, Gastone Nencini, Franco Ballerini and the time trials in Grosseto to the three amateur cyclists, Antonio Panico, Roberto Seripa and Nilo Nardini, died in Braccagni on 14 July 2022 hit by a car while traveling in a group of twenty cyclists.
