On Tuesday 23 April it was signed a memorandum of understanding between the DonatoriNati-State Police Association and Advs (Association of voluntary blood donors) Fidas Ravenna in light of what already exists at a national level, to spread increasingly the culture of donating blood and blood componentsin order to increase the number of periodic donors in the Ravenna area.
“I am particularly satisfied with this new synergy, the warm welcome received and the family atmosphere created between the two associations – explains Ester Fadda, president of the Ravenna section of DonatoriNati – who pursue the common objective of the widespread diffusion of citizens’ transfusion awareness – and adds – that this partnership will certainly be of assistance in expanding the pool of donors, in particular among the personnel of the State Police, of the Civil Administration of the Ministry of the Interior and their families”.

Being able to open the doors of our Association and the collection center of the Ravenna Hospital in such an official way to all the staff of the Ravenna Police Headquarters is a source of great pride for me.”
Both associations thank the Ravenna Police Commissioner Lucio Pennella and his staff for their enthusiastic support and their great sensitivity in understanding the importance of the message conveyed. The DonatoriNati-State Police association, established in 2003 on the initiative of a group of members of the State Police and expanded in 2018 thanks to the union with the Fire BrigadeToday present with over 15,000 members between volunteers and donors, policemen and others, in 15 regions Italian, it is the only police association with institutional protocol whose aim is to promote the culture of blood donation as an ethical behavior to give new horizons to leukemia, thalassemia, transplant recipients, burn victims and all those who need it.
Advs Fidas Ravenna It has been operating in the Ravenna area since 1961 and currently has over 7,000 registered members and a total of almost 9000 blood and blood product donations per year.
